This You tube video clip takes us into the Classroom of the Future. I found the images very interesting as one day I could be teaching students in a similar environment. The Classroom of the Future consists of:

Large overhead projectors set up around the room. Each controlled by a remote from a wireless computer.

Wall mounted flat panels (which looks like a plasma)

Light weight tables (easy to move around)

Wireless network activity

Laptops

Scanners, printers, laminating machines, digital photo machines. (supports all multimedia)

What got my attention the most was cameras and listening devices set up on the sealing. This would allow students to broadcast classroom activity globally. Guest speakers could also use video conferencing to make speeches or presentations. This seems like only the beginning of technology in the classroom.

you have a valid point Luke, although i do not understand if you meant that the technology itself has not come yet or that primary schools do not have these facilities as yet?
